Original Music

Over the past few years, I’ve been writing some original music.  In late January 2010, I finally got fed up with listening to midi tracks, and so I’ve headed into the recording studio.  I am planning on releasing some of this material on an EP in the near future.  In the meantime, I’ll be adding select samples of my work, so that you can track my progress along the way.

Here is a video of my first performance of a tune called Roam.  Brian Flynn (fiddle) and Andy Love (drums) had never heard it before but joined in.  I was so inspired that I wrote three more parts to go along with it.

On my facebook fan page music player is a more recent version of it (still only with one violin) that I jammed out with Andy Love this past January (2010).  It was very cold in his studio so it’s not the greatest but it gives you an idea of the various directions the piece can take.
